LUVEX is a vendor-neutral knowledge system for UV technology. You are here because you apply UV in practice — drinking water, room air, curing, food hygiene — and you need answers without manufacturer bias.
What We Bring Together Here
LUVEX maintains four tools that work hand in hand:
1. Knowledge Library — /knowledge
The domain fundamentals. Wavelengths, D-values, LED vs. mercury vapour, dose sizing, standards references, regulatory stacks (DE / EU / USA). Structured by application (HVAC / drinking water / curing / food / material) and by technology (wavelength / lamp / measurement).
2. Manufacturer Directory — /manufacturers
A global UV manufacturer list with lifecycle data — founding year, acquisitions, renames, active vs. discontinued brands. Embedded in an industry story (/manufacturers/branchen-story) and an industry graph (/manufacturers/branchen-graph) showing who owns whom, who has merged, and who has been spun off. The list is a work in progress and grows continuously — corrections and tips about missing manufacturers are welcome.
3. UV Simulator — simulator.luvex.tech
Interactive system design: lamp models, pathogens with D-values, wall materials, substrates. You build your system virtually, see the dose distribution, and compare configurations. Free, no login required for quick simulations.
4. Forum + RFQ — /forum
Engineering Q&A — vendor-neutral. Two modes:

Vendor-Neutral by Design
LUVEX itself does not manufacture UV systems and does not sell equipment. We maintain the knowledge base and the manufacturer directory, and we connect users with the right suppliers. Monetisation runs through manufacturer listings in the directory and in the simulator — not through per-sale brokerage commissions.
It follows that:
- Knowledge library content is not manufacturer-branded. We cite studies, standards, and data — not advertising copy.
- Practice cases are published with disclosure: "Affiliated" (a manufacturer relationship exists), "Independent" (no manufacturer relationship), "Vendor" (a manufacturer writes about its own product).
- In the forum, answers from manufacturer accounts are marked as such, and vendor-neutral answers take precedence.
